Berlin
Geography
Berlin is located in northeastern Germany within the state of Brandenburg. Around one third of the city's area is composed of forests, parks, gardens, rivers and lakes.
The Spree and Havel river flow through Berlin. The Havel is more like a chain of lakes, the largest being the Tegeler See and Großer Wannsee then the Großer Müggelsee in eastern Berlin.
The highest elevations in Berlin are the Teufelsberg (an artificial hill made up of rubble from the ruins of World War II), the Müggelberge in the city's outskirts, and in the center- the Kreuzberg.
