STANDARD I - Language Acquisition
The student will: ·2.1a. Follow directions ·2.1b. Know and use terminology related to neighbors and neighborhoods ·2.1c. Answer simple questions about the neighborhood ·2.1d. Practice host nation songs, dances and games ·2.1e. Practice words of courtesy and respect ·2.1f. Identify and use terminology related to local emergency and safety/protective systems and procedures for personal and neighborhood safety ·2.1g. Use terminology related to money ·2.1h. Practice with native speakers ·2.1i. Recognize and identify the location of local play areas for recreation and leisure ·2.1j. Identify terminology related to transportation ·2.1k. STANDARD II - Culture
The student will demonstrate understanding of characteristics, resources and rules of the host nation neighborhood. The student will: ·2.2a. Name similarities and differences between one's own and the host nation neighborhood ·2.2b. Identify traffic signs and traffic rules ·2.2c. Practice songs, dances, games, stories, customs and traditions ·2.2d. Participate in study trips ·2.2e. Participate in exchanges with schools ·2.2f. Demonstrate respect for individuals and their rights in the neighborhood ·2.2g. Recognize and describe the need for neighborhood safety and protection systems ·2.2h. Describe the interdependence of the local on-off base neighborhoods and German neighborhoods ·2.2i. Use money for shopping and leisure activities ·2.2j. Describe how seasonal changes affect the recreational and leisure activities ·2.2k. Use transportation in the neighborhood ·2.2l. Participate in activities with Germans |
